Machanents Tourism and Art – Etchmiadzin

In the city of Etchmiadzin (Vagharshapat), located near Yerevan, you'll find the Machanents Tourism and Art Center, also known as the Machanents House.

"Machanents Tourism and Art" is a social enterprise operated by the NGO Cross of Armenian Unity. The center hosts guests, offers master classes, cultural evenings, and tours, and provides overnight accommodation in uniquely themed rooms where visitors can enjoy an unforgettable stay. Here, you can learn the recipes and taste a variety of traditional Armenian dishes, witness winemaking and lavash baking, and take part in hands-on workshops in pottery, painting, carpet weaving, and batik art. The site also includes an art school, national cuisine lessons, a theater studio, and an ethnic regional innovation center. Around 250 students study here - including children with disabilities, orphans, and kids from underprivileged families.
